Due to some internal or external factors, thousands of DNA breaks
occur every day in the nearly trillions of cells of our body.
If cells cannot repair these damage, cell death or genomic
instability will happen. But how to repair?
That is what we are interested in.

Genomic Instability and
Tumorigenesis Laboratory
The research interests of our laboratory include the molecular
mechanisms of DNA damage repair, chromatin remodelling,
epigenetic modifications, and their roles in postnatal
development and carcinogenesis. We are also interested in
translational studies. Our research may not only reveal
the causes of tumorigenesis and other genetic diseases,
but also contribute for diagnostics and therapeutics of
these diseases in the near future.
